Replace Stock Headlights with Lighting Package

Basic headlights suck.
Has anybody here bought the parts at a discount from Parts.com or somewhere equivalent and dropped them in to the GLK and replaced the stock lights?
Is it simple plug and play? Are there any modules needed for the install or any reprograms?
I replaced the tail lights in my 2008 c class with the 2012 tail lights and had to reprogram the SAM module.
Thanks in advance for any help provided on this issue for the GLK
The "lighting package" added after has/will have a few ADDED COMPLICATIONS IMHO...
There are "sensors" etc the HID / Xenon work on different trigger /sensors etc so if you want to add this later (as advised by my dealer @order time) it be non-justifiable costs involved. However I believe you can add just do the Xenon 'inserts' with a bit of 'trickery' and not the CEL/ODBC Error codes etc - think someone has posted that here or in ML forums.
We have a GLK250BT- 2014 model with ALL THE FACTORY OPTIONS including LATHER to tow etc etc ....going for trade (4200Miles-yip sick of MB's-BT BS!!!) for a NEW Q5TDi > del- july 3rd!
Hope this is helpful
Cheers and Happy Motoring!

There has to be a way... I willing to spend $1k and hopefully sell the stockies for a hundred bucks or so on eBay

Thinking about buying these parts and installing - don't care about having the intelligent lighting part actually function... I just want the xenon headlights, white LED DRL curve, and the amber LED blinker curve
Anybody know how hard it would be to just get the lights and blinkers to function? Plug and Play? (w/out the intelligent function of course)

Seems like they look good and if they are plug and play and I dont need to buy any extra parts, that would be awesome... just concerned with the fitment

hope all is going well! Do you guys plan on carrying the Depo LED headlights for the 2013 GLK350?
Thanks!
Did you already see it available somewhere else? If so, can you provide a photo or a link?

We have checked with DEPO. Theirs is under development, not yet available. They also did not disclose when it will be available.
As for the eBay one, it says the manufacturing place is in China and ship out from China. For that kind of price, it's bit worry to be honest along with the seller did not have outstanding feedback. And from it, it also did not disclose which brand it is, so I honestly can't tell you my opinion on its quality.

Do you mean that You are not happy with the output, or is it just that the design is not to your liking and You would prefer more modern (LED) looks ?
If output is an issue, there are possibly HID conversion kits available for existing units, or maybe start with good high quality bulbs? Anyone tried these (or similar) for example :

Here is side by side with my GLK250 with 85w and my friends exactly the same GLK with stock bulbs. Needless to say we upgraded his bulbs shortly after!

The Flösser and Osram bulbs are electrically, optically, functionally, and qualitatively identical, but they are labelled differently. They are both built in Germany to exactly the same specification: an H9 burner on an H7 base, 65w at 12.0v, 2100 lumens at 13.2v. Flösser's box says "80w" while Osram's says "65w". This is not an actual power difference, it is a test voltage difference. Flösser power-rates their bulb at 13.5v rather than 12.0v. For any/all filament bulbs, the wattage rises exponentially to the power 1.6 with voltage increase. So a bulb rated 65w at 12.0v will be rated 78.5w (printed as 80w) at 13.5v. It's not two different bulbs, just two different test protocols. On the test bench, the Osram "65w" bulbs and the Flösser "80w" bulbs all test out at between 63.8 and 65.4 watts at a constant 13.2 volts.
