Contacts list from iPhone will not transfer to the car
I will appreciate any help to get contacts from iPhone transferred to the car. Works perfectly on my wife's ML and E-class, but not on 2012 GLK350. Phone works fine but no phone book and it's PITA!

Yea the 2004 E-Class has the older COMAND unit so the contacts are imported automatically. The newer COMAND systems don't seem to handle the iPhone contacts the same way they did in previous versions. You're not the only one.
The only suggestion I can think of is to upload the contacts into COMAND through another device like a bluetooth capable laptop. If not, possibly exporting them onto a memory card and importing it into COMAND via the SD memory card?

Had the same problem with my 2011 when I got it; I gave up on it after many attempts.
I read that the contacts can be loaded by putting them onto a PCMCIA card since there's a slot in the dash for that.
I tried it with a generic card but no joy; MB sells one that probably will work but I lost interest.
Do a search here and you will see many threads on this issue...

+1 on trying a bluetooth capable laptop.
I was able to get my contacts/address book into the 2010 GLK's radio with this method:
On my macbook air, exported desired contacts to a 'card' file on the air's desktop. Then I bluetooth linked GLK & Macbook air and was able to import the vcard.
