wheel and tire set ups

Hi planning on changing my wheels and wanted to go 19x8.5 and wanted to go wider like 255/50/19. Just wanted to see you guys set up and pictures. Just want to get ideas from other x204 owners that change there wheels . Did any one ever change there wheels to the c63 or the e63 amg wheels ?

Been trying to do this for a month now. I have four replica AMG 19 x 8.5 wheels with a 45 mm offset. The rears will fit fine, however the fronts won't be able to fit due to the strut being so close to the tire. I have had to go with a 12mm hub centric spacer and will hopefully get them on this weekend after several tries with different wheels studs.

Here are the wheels I am putting on.

Thanks, we have more of a base model mars red GLK. I though the black parts of the wheel would be just right with the black roof rails. I'll be happy just to get them on and be done with modding the wife's car. It wasn't supposed to be this difficult.

This is what im planning on getting for mine. You think if i go with a 35 offset would that fit on the fronts? I kinda want to stay away from spacers. And how wide of a tire are you going on?

Those look really nice. A 35 mm offset is going to move the wheel further in, not out, so I would stick with a 45mm. Im going with a 245 sized tire.

I wouldn't worry about the spacers, you just need to have the proper length studs. The whole "spacers are dangerous" comes from people putting them on cars and not lengthening the studs on the hub, this is turn causes less threads for seating the wheel on the hub and the possibility of a wheel coming off.

Of course the best thing to do is to get a wheel that is 8 inches or less in width. That just wasn't an option for me, it may not be for your as well. There is a possibility that the 4 matics are different, I just don't have any experience with that model.

Those are going to be way to wide for your vehicle and will not fit. They look great otherwise.

A 9 inch wheel up front with a 35mm offset maybe, but probably not. I had an 8.5 with a 45mm offset with barely any room left, if any, between the strut and the wheel.
