Silver rear hatch trim
I made a cheap mod which added distinctive styling to my glk350 back in June when I bought it new.

Nice, it adds something that looks like it is missing from the stock GLK. Reminds me of what Range Rover is doing.

I just ordered a trim from eBay which looks like the MB accessory one.

Looks pretty good but it actually looks like you could have gone with a wider strip.

I need to look into this further...

I did not want it to pop out too much it will look aftermarket.

It's 1 3/8 inches(see pic). I just used a pair of sharp scissors to trim the edges before taping it. You can use a small saw or a dremel cutting tool but I don't have any of those. Post pics!

I measured and the area where you mounted it is 2-1/4" wide, so I think it could justify a wider strip.

Cowles offers the same trim in 2" as well as the 1-3/8"; I am tempted to give that a try...

Not on the edge of the license recess. Maybe there is a 5mm gap hence there is the gray color below the trim. I thought the 2 inch would be too wide. I borrowed the sample from the store and compared it.

I was going to order directly online but if they have samples at the stores I guess a short trip might be in order...
