2015 GLK 350 tips needed.

This is my first mercedes. I used to drive a Lexus RX 400hybrid. I loved it, but newer lexus models are cheaply made now.
My GLK is pretty stripped/ standard. I only sprung for navigation this time around.
I find I only get 310-320 miles off a full tank of gas. Which I wish was higher. But not bad. I didn't want to go desiel.
I need help with using my iPod. When I plug it in it says it can't read it as a USB source. It's not the iPod. I was thinking I could link it via Bluetooth?
Any thoughts. It reads my iPhone and plays the few songs I have on it. But I don't have room for more songs.
I read some ppl are recording their CDs onto the sound system. Is this an upgraded feature?

You have the multimedia package? It can link your iPhone by BT or by USB. It comes with a 34 pin wiring already. You need the lighting to 34 pin adaptor to plug it in not the USB connection. Welcome!
