Drive Kit Plus

I am trying to get the "Drive Kit Plus" system installed in my 2014 GLK 250. It has the Audio 20 system like the drive kit plus says is required. The site also says that it works for the newest iPhone 6 and 6+ however my dealership said they have NEVER installed the system and the information sheet they have is not updated to say that it supports the newest iPhone.

TL;DR:

who else has had this system installed. do you like it? What phone are you using?

The Drive Kit Plus has not been rolled out extensively here in the US - and probably won't be.

Specifically what are you looking to accomplish with your Audio 20 ?

I have no nav in my vehicle, yet I spent $100 on Tom Tom US and Canada a long time ago on iOS. My primary objective is to get something installed that will get turn by turn maps to the factory screen in the car. I do not have becker pre-wiring... The Drive Kit Plus attracted me because you just open the Mercedes Drive Style app on your iPhone while it is plugged into the car and you get tom tom nav, music streaming displayed on the original factory screen...

My dealership said that they found the install information and the number of hours required for install/cost in the mechanics computer. However the were unable to find part numbers for the actual hardware required.

Would it be possible to purchase the hardware from europe and have it installed here? Or would it lock itself out or not work because its a europeian system running in a US vehicle.....

Best/worst solution I have now is having my iPhone sit infront of my factory screen with the power cable dangeling down to the cig lighter or have one center console door open with it plugged into the cars USB port...

Also if there is any way to contine use of the command knob and steering wheel controls, that would be great..

I was thinking of going to a professional pioneer install shop and see what they could do.. or any other companies that provide Apple Car Play intigration.

You do not have any method to add integrated nav to your existing system.

It's probably not possible. Maybe just get a pro clip and use your iphone that way?
