Three Season Run Flat tires
Recently I changed over my Dunlop Grandtrek OEM tires for my MB GLK250BT.
Goodyear People who own Dunlop in general terms said that the Dunlop Grandtrek's were All-season with the fine print there were limitation in Snow.??? All season, no just a term
For this reason, a heavy snow fall & the travel in snow was not recommended.
The love ,hate relationship run flats in general terms is thrown into the mix..
The helpful advice on the MB World Forum bears this out with owners in snow situations/ regions changing tires to snow tires, or ice tires .
I purchased 4 Pirelli P Zero run flat M0 235/50/R19 Three season tire ,I am enjoying the feel . The tread is aggressive Depending the interpretation ,they are UHP Summer Tire.I am not worried ,I believe the type of driving I do will be just fine...
If & when ,I travel in the extreme of snowfall Michelin ICE tire or Bridgestone
Blizzak...On some roads ,I would need chains or studded tires...with feel of the Alpine climbing up NH Mount Washington...I went skiing there Late May & the roads were barely passable due to snow...
not planning on that trip.
NTHSA rating are my guide...happy motoring
