Transmission Acting Up.
hello,
Our 2014 GLK has recently been acting weird when going into reverse. When we idle out the garage it revs up and down a bit and feels rough. Today my wife put it in reverse at work and it revved up real high and then would not go in drive. Anyone know what could be going on?

I had a similarr odd incident the other day. After driving in traffic for about an hour I stopped at a store to pick something up. After starting the car I put it in reverse and nothing happened. I sat there for a couple minutes trying forward and reverse gears and nothing worked. As I was thinking about calling road service for a tow, I tried turning it off and then restarting it. After restarting the car the transmission shifted and behaved normally and I have not had a problem since.
It has me wondering what happened. Did I take my foot off of the brake while starting and thereby triggering some safety mode? Was there a computer glitch that cleared with a restart?
There are no warning or other indications of a problem so I will keep it in the back of my mind and hope it doesn't happen again.
