EBD DISPLAY ON DASHBOARD
I have a MB GLK 350 4Matic, EBD, ABS,ESP light currently displayed on the dashboard, I visited a specialist and diagnostics says ABS/speed sensors of front right tires is bad, sensor was replaced and messages were cleared, however EBS Message returned after 2 days. Not sure of the cause.

The abbreviation EBS stands for Electronic Braking System. The purpose of this system is to improve vehicle control, reaction and stability during braking over and above that currently possible from a conventional pneumatic system. This is achieved by using electrical signals to operate pneumatic valves. A back up system is usually retained in case of an electrical failure.
Originally designed for trucks, it actually anticipates that the driver did not try to stop fast enough due to input from a load sensor and accelerometers etc. Instead of you pushing on the master cylinder, with help from the power assist, to supply hydraulic pressure to the brakes, you push also goes to a sensor that adds pressure when needed.
There is also Collision Prevention assist, which applies the breaks for you and BAS which modifies the brakes in case the guy behind you is going to rear end you and on and on.
Soon the autonomous car and we will all be stuck at 55 mph with nothing to do because we get sick if we try to read and after awhile even talking on the cell gets boring. Plus that 150 mile trip will take an extra hour.
