Aftermarket Muffler Help

1) Hey guys, had my glk 350 for a while and im curious in getting a flowmaster 40 series. The problem is I don't know the proper dimensions of the OEM muffler that will fit, as well as the diameter of the exhaust pipe.
Here's a link so you guys can help me find a proper fit.

2) I'm also thinking of replacing the flat box air filter with a cone filter. Is that possible, or should I just replace the filter already with another flat box.

Thanks guys.

yes
1) no comment

2) me thinks you should keep the stock air filter assembly. why would you want to change it and then why would you even consider another "flat box" style?

GLK350
Exhaust is 2.25" I would recommend stopping in to an muffler shop and asking them for recommendations for the replacement. There are other factors to consider on top of the dimensions such as inlet/outlet locations.

I have an AFE Dry filter. No real performance improvement, but I like that I don't have to replace the filter. To have a cone filter I think you would need to do some custom work. This thread has info on a custom idea, https://mbworld.org/forums/glk-class...t-s-glk-4.html.
