do you mean wont go up or down or wont go past 3/4 point. If it is just that it wont go past the 3/4 mark I believe you will need it reset, I'm not sure of the procedure off the top of my head but I'm sure someone will have it...

Reset? I've never heard of that. I thought the motor jammed or something.

The Owner's Manual is your friend. If the vehicle didn't come with one then your friends at M-B parts can order one.

Here you go....

You must reset each side window if a side window can no longer be closed fully.

Close all the doors.
Turn the SmartKey to position 1 or 2 in the ignition lock.
Pull the corresponding switch on the door control panel until the side window is completely closed. ()
Hold the switch for an additional second.
If the side window opens again slightly:

Immediately pull the corresponding switch on the door control panel until the side window is completely closed ().
Hold the switch for an additional second.
If the corresponding side window remains closed after the button has been released, the side window has been reset correctly. If this is not the case, repeat the steps above again.

....in addition, when you lower or raise the window to do a reset....don't use the auto up or down.
The reset also works on the sunroof and seats.
If you change batteries and lose the memory, you might get a ABS warning light....turn wheel all the way left, all the way right and bring back to middle.

No, you don't need to buy. However, that would be foolish unless you print out the whole thing (perhaps even more foolish). I strongly recommend to anyone that they purchase the owner's manual if they don't have one. There is a huge amount of information inside that could be very useful, if carried in the vehicle, in the event of a breakdown, flat tire, need to tow, window "failure" etc. etc. etc. etc.

Yeah, sure. You could save a few bucks and load it onto your smartphone, hope you have it with you when needed, hope the battery is good, hope you can read the small screen blah, blah, blah...

Put it on a disk or a memory stick and keep it in the glove box. Then you can play it whenever you want.
