2015 GLK 250... Tire sensors or no tire sensors?

I just bought some 17" rims for a W204 for my 2015 GLK 250. I hear they are a good match.

Wondering if the 2015 GLK 250 has TPMS / tire pressure sensors?

I don't know about the GLK250. But my wife's 2015 GLK350 has the tire pressure monitor. Works well

Yikes:
I believe it's market specific. May have TPMS or may use wheel speed comparison. I think some markets for the 250 get run-flats while others do not. Some markets may only require a general tire low pressure warning while other markets, such as the U.S., may require individual specific tire pressure information is available.

my 2015 has Run flat tires (no spare)
and it does an not have individual tire pressure reading.

It has some Tire Assyst to reset the run flat indicator... So that likely means I am free of stupid TPMS crap?

If you can see individual tire pressures in the cluster, you have discrete TPMS sensors in each wheel. If it just says "Tire Pressure Monitoring System Active", it uses the ABS sensors and you don't need TPMS sensors in the wheels.

Does the GTA in your name mean you are in Toronto, Canada area? Are you sure you have run flats. Our 2014 GLK250 came with standard all-weather Continemtal tires. No spare, because there is no place for one because of DEF tank. Maybe post what it says on sidewalls of your tires.

The manuals are generic and cover all bases. As others have said, cars shipped to different areas are not same.

The Canadian GLK250s (thankfully) don't have the awful run-flats - they're normal Pirellis or Contis. Ours come with a can of tire sealant and an air compressor.

You don't have TPMS sensorsd in each wheel if you don't see individual tire pressures. The reason why you don't have a spare is because that's where the DEF (AdBlue) tank is located on the diesels as someone pointed out earlier. If it's a Canadian car you also don't have run-flats - see if you can find a can of tire sealant and an air comressor on the left side under the rear cargo compartment.

Run Flat

My Canadian 15 250 has Pirelli Scorpion run flats. Got it with 7Km on the clock after an MB Exec used it for 2 months.
I also found a compressor in the trunk area when I was looking around.

I highly doubt it - AFAIK *all* 2015 Candian GLK250s with 20" wheels came with Pirellis Scorpion all-seasons, but they are NOT the Verde run-flats. Why do you think they're run-flat tires? You said you have the compressor - and you'll also find the sealant can in the little compartment aft of the left rear wheelwell that you access from the side, not the bottom - which indicates that you have the normal Pirelli Scorpion A/S.

AFAIK there was no GLK ever delivered to Canada with run-flat tires.

My 2015 GLK 250 has Dunlop non run flat tires.
I have a collapsible spare from a 350GLK in the cargo area.
I am looking to buy a ML 350BT as I find the Glk a little small for our needs and I like the features of the ML.My dealer is giving me a great deal on a ML
I will have a spare for sale , a Benz rubber cargo mat and the MB side rails for the roof rack if I pull the trigger.

I see you are from Toronto, N.J is there such a place? I Googled and found 8 Torontos in USA, but none in New Jersey.

By the way, when I bought our 2014 GLK250, my dealer told me that it had run-flat tires. But it has standard AW Contis. A lot of the literature is US centric and can be confusing.

AW32's car was not new. Quite possible tires were changed. I have a friend who changed his tires after just a few months. May still have the Contis for sale, I think!

My 2015 (purchased new) came with AMG 20" wheels and Dunlop Grandtrek Touring A/S tires. They are not run-flats. No TPM sensors in the rims.

I should have rephrased my reply to read "AFAIK *all* 2015 Candian GLK250s with 20" wheels THAT came with Pirellis Scorpion WERE all-seasons but they are NOT the Verde run-flats. Some came with Dunlops and some with Continentals. None of them were run-flat tires - at least not from the factory and/or the MB dealerships that may have repalced the tires on a CPO car before selling it.

What individual owners may have done before trading in their vehicle is a different story altogether - but there were no GLKs sold in Canada by MB that came equipped with run-flats.

You are correct. Confirmed it all today. Other Cdn models got run flats NOT the GLK!
