Thumbs up Whoo hoo Get em while they're still available!

Just picked up a new 2015 GLK 350 for my wife and we couldn't be happier!

Been lusting after one of these for years after renting one on the mainland for her birthday couple years ago. We traded in her aging but low miles X3 w/o hesistation after learning that this was it for the X204 line. There was no time to waste IMO, no way was going to be left out of getting the last of BEST compact SUVs on the planet

Interesting mix of options, Premium 1, Multimedia, AMG Sport, Blind spot monitor, but some missing items so I'll have some questions later.

This is the first code 00A Illuminated star we've seen in person (mostly because we're not out at night haha). But it's all ours! Very weird but nice feeling seeing the odo at less than 100 miles. Yay!

Any hints on where to find the wiring diagram? Or even more helpful, what are the colors of the two wires for the under dash / footwell lights? Because this one doesn't have them. What I'm hoping for is to buy the light assembly, go under the dash and magically find a loose connector waiting to be plugged in! Maybe it will be wrapped up under tape but still there. Like all the X204s should have the same harness right?

Ditto on the puddle lights at the bottom of the doors - MIA (although the dash options show activated). So I'd like to add them. And illuminated door sills. Otherwise it's got it all, back up cam, nav etc. so we're good!

Congratulations!
I understand your excitement. I am extremely happy with mine as well. Shortly after I picked it up, I drove it from California to Utah and back on vacation. It is the most comfortable vehicle I've ever owned.

2015 E400 and 2015 GLK350
Congrats on the new GLK. We bought ours for similar reasons - wife was in love with the X204, but they go extinct from the new car inventory after 2015. So we grabbed one while the stock was still there to choose from.

Now I have to decide each time which car to take on a trip -- GLK350 or E400. . .

Congratulations, looks nice!

We did the opposite. Got an X3 instead of GLK. We've been looking at purchasing a GLK350 for the past 6 months or so. Wife really likes the way the GLK looks. But unfortunately every single one was 4matic when we wanted just a RWD with some very basic options. Plus the dealers were not very flexible on pricing.

So we ended up ordering a 2016 X3 sdrive28i this past Friday.

Enjoy the GLK! Wife still wish we were able to get a GLK.

Red face

Mahalo all!

Car trip I think take the GLK on the road for sure for it's size and visibility. Plus would be nice to see it score the highest mpg possible haha! We don't get that luxury much over here unless one lives on the Big Island which is much more expansive.

With ECO mode it's doing pretty good so far and besting her old ride, especially in stopped traffic. She was happy to exclaim that zero gas was being used! LOL So much smoother than the BMW (we had tried a 3 and a 4 series), which felt like it was getting lightly rear ended each stop/start mode. The Mercedes the tach just falls away softly and restarts without a judder. Only thing I can fault it with is very slow shifting but it's not a GT. Also noticed if at a stop and I put it in S mode the trans jolts when it drops into 1st but may've been an anomaly.

I was rooting for Palladium Silver but her choice was Steel Grey Metallic and I of course concur

Love the "peaked" front license frame too. First noticed that subtle design element on the E coupe and really appreciate the level of detail by Mercedes Benz! Truly the best.

Yah I am blown away at the smooth ride even on 20s and the thing handles curves too! Not to harp on the X3 but it was super stiff in comparison and much noisier but may be due to the AWD? I had an X5 AWD for a bit and it wasn't as stiff nor noisy so not sure what happened there. Traded it in for Jeep that could actually go off roading but that's another story. I did look for a G Wagon (used) but it sold too fast. I sound like such the MBZ fanboy lol It's ok. The best or nothing!

Ah I see no footwell or courtesy lighting unless ordered the leather package (US spec). Found the brand X lights on the intarwebs just need a +12v source with door open that won't throw codes. And one for the footwell lights to keep them on while in the car. Might add the illuminated door sills while I'm at it then both our vehicles will match.

Also #@$%# the rude inconsiderate drivers here! Somebody already lightly clipped her car in the pax rear quarter while it was parked, creasing the body. So will have to call the claims number for the paintless dent removal coverage. Zero deductible as I'm reading the contract so that's a good thing.

Looking in the daylight there is a small spot missing paint I hope they can repair w/o painting, like a spot of touch up and blending.
