235/65/17 winter tires on ML rims?
Just came across a set of oem used rims and tires in my neighbourhood off from an ML. Used for one season and the price is not outrageous. Checked on rimsntires.com and they seem to be ok for my GLK 250.
Would you guys see this as an insult to GLKs, or I could be forgiven for this cross-pollination? Any other thoughts?

I am a new MB owner, but I don't see any harm in it if the wheels fit and the offset is correct. If you are using them for winter wheels, no one will care once they are covered in schmutz. I have found that the finish on OEM wheels usually hold up better, especially in the harsh environment associated with winters up north. If the price is right, it seems like a logical choice.

When I was looking at used ML tires & rims, I always found that they were too large. But those 17" tires & rims do seem like they should work. As you said rimsntires reports:
Assuming that Chart 1 represents OEM wheel (235-50R19 7.5 ET47) vs ML's (235-65R17 7.5 ET56)
Suspension clearance: Package 2 is 9 mm (0.4'') closer to suspension/brakes components. Acceptable for most cars.
Fenders clearance: 100% clear (leaves even more room than OEM)
Wheelwells clearance: Will fill out the wheelwell by extra 10 mm. Acceptable for most cars.
SPEEDOMETER: When speedometer reads 60mph (96.6km/h) actual speed will be 61.6mph (99.2km/h): 2.7% faster.

Do let us know. OEM winter tyres are 17" from MB but not sold in the USA. Canada does get them however. Curious as to what the offset is on the ML rims as opposed to the GLK rims which are 47 MM. It will be stamped on the inside of the rim on one of the spokes.
