P0015 Code Cam Position Timing

P0015 Code Cam Position Timing
Intermittent CEL caused by P0015 code, camshaft position timing. MB has or had a campaign on this & ours was performed in 2014. Here is a link to the details.

From researching, earlier MB models, especially the "C" class have had the most problem. Affects the GLK350 through the 2012 models when the new engine was introduced. Has anyone else experienced such a problem? TIA!

The campaign is only to add a harness extension at the cam sensors. If your car is elegible, the dealer will do that for free and fix any damage caused by the oil intrusion if it has caused a CEL.
It's more likely, you have an issue with the cam magnet itself or the timing gear, or you have a timing issue in the engine itself.
