Are the glow plugs on the 2014 GLK 250 located on the left side (passenger side) of the head under the airbox (requiring the removal of computer and airbox to get to them)? Can't find anything information searching or youtube.

I have oem plugs, the carbon reamer, and understand the prep and precautions to not breaking the plugs on extraction, just can't see them because of the plumbing.

Anyone know of a good repair manual for routine maintenance on the 2.1 blutec?

Wrong side---remove the fuel filter---lift cable---remove glow plugs, however if removal torque exceeds 25Nm---stop--get engine temp to operating and remove glow plugs

This GLK250 is my first diesel and I'm read mixed advice.

1. My is approaching 50k do the glow plugs and controller need to replace now as general maintenance?

2. Do I drive them until the idiot light indicates they are slow to heat-up?

3. When I replace them do I replace all or just the one that has failed?
