2013 GLK350 4MATIC Fuel Consumption Higher than expected?
Hi all,
I haven't found any threads speaking to this issues, so here goes.
I'm a new owner of a 2013 GLK350 4MATIC (in Canada). According to the trip computer, I'm getting a fuel efficiency of about 10-10.5L/100km (22mpg), but my actual fuel use seems much higher. For example, I filled up and then drove 100 km, and I'm down a quarter tank already (16.5L used, out of a 66L tank), where as according to my trip computer gas mileage I should have only used 10-10.5L for that 100km. If this discrepancy was small I would just forget about it, but that looks like a massive difference. Anyone experience this before? I'm planning to get it taken in to have it looked at but it only recently got the full Mercedes inspection for the sale and there wasn't anything noted there.
Thanks all!

fill it up completely, drive 200 miles and fill it up again, takes the miles driven and divided by the amount of gas you put in, do it a few times and it will give you an accurate average mileage/fuel consumption that you can compare with the on board computer. Also try to do it on the same type of roads and condition, i have done this over the last 8 months and 10k miles and have an average of 21.3 mpg by my calculation and 20.8 via on board display, this is with all type of driving condition such as city and highway driving.
