My Eco Start Stop never Activates
I know most people hate the Eco Start Stop on here, But I was wondering how many owners have a 1) 2013, 2)Still on original Battery, and 3) live in Sunny Sourthern California to try and pin point why my eco button only ever turned on twice in my ownership.

I have a 2013 with original batteries , it has two batteries, one in back on the right side. My eco comes on eventually , in winter only if I charge the batteries. Your batteries are up in age, have you tested voltage after sitting all night, mine is getting low, near 12.2. Is it under warranty? they ran my codes and didn't find anything. If you charge it you need an AGM charger. There are many things that can keep it from working, batteries could be the issue. I don't think mine will make it another winter.

Mercedes and others use CTek battery chargers and just put their name on them and charge double , they have one with a restore feature that actually works, I have more voltage when I use that feature. jay Lenno reviewed it on his show.

hey thanks for you opinion! I'll will report back to see if it works when I install the new Factory primary Battery. I am still pretty happy I don't need to turn it off every time I start the car like some fellow members

The second battery in back I think is just for the Eco system. Maybe test it. I dont like the eco system because oil pressure will drop to zero in a few seconds, then motor starts and you take off without oil having been circulating a few minutes. Mb told me many things affect eco working. I can only guess a few, voltage, motor temp, both battery conditions. And I'm sure many more parameters.
