Gas flap stuck
Pulled in to gas station with low fuel light on and gas door wont open. Drove home with 2 bars on fuel guage remaining. Looked in the trunk for any lever but couldnt find any. Its a 2015 glk250 with less than 15k on odo.. troublefree so far in over 2 years except for one very minor incident. Anyone encountered this issue before? Does mb send any tech home or I should risk getting stranded driving to dealership?

350 GLK, C280
You are under warranty, get the dealer off his but and get 'Road Side Service' to fix it for free. Do not runt the vehicle out of fuel! That could cause all sorts of problems, Fuel pumps are cooled and lubricated in the tank. Injectors are lubed by fuel. Lean mixtures may cause problems in the emission systems. etc.

An update: roadside assistance sent somebody who couldnt figure out what the issue was. So called a tow truck to get it towed to dealership. Not sure why they sent somebody from faraway dealership. He suggested I call the nearest dealership for tow as he can only call a tow for his dealership. I wasnt going to initiate a whole new conversation with that other dealer so instead told him to go ahead and get it towed to his dealer. Tow truck came late for some reason but sent a pic of vehicle dropped off safely at the dealer. They said that the key along with description of the issue will be in the night drop box. Havent had a chance to ask if a loaner would be provided.. can manage without that for now.

Over the winter this happened to my wifes 2014 GLK. The lucky thing for me was the pin froze with the door open, not shut (I attributed it to moisture freezing the mechanism as it happened first thing in the morning and seemed ok).
That is unlikely the case here, obviously
But it's probably that pin stuck regardless.

I shouldve updated this thread a while back. Better late than never. Issue was actuator which got replaced. No issues after. Stuck cap was opened forcefully by them according to the service notes. General electric fault note was also there.
