2012 model is great. Just passed 5 years and 66,000 miles without
a stitch of trouble. The original Pirellis are just now being replaced.
Great winter car for (Brrr...) Minnesota.

Love our 2014 GLK250 fantastic car/suv a couple of minor issues with the emissions systems which were fixed under warranty the car has been so far trouble free (only 70,000 km) Have tried the GLC but without a diesel would not purchase, just completed a 1800 kilometre trip and averaged 6.2 L/100 km... very pleased with ours. I'm sure you would be pleased with the GLK250 also...

Diesel is king
My glk250, 2015. Only has12000 miles, no problems so far. I like the diesel because its fuel doesnt go bad when I let it sit for many months. Great mileage, good looks, happy wife, what could be better.

I have a 2013 GLK 350 and a 2014 GLK 250.
I bought the 350 new and it has been flawless, but I find it wants to shift gears all of the time.
I bought the 250 used with 40k miles and it has also been flawless but is far more drivable.. The only thing I dislike are the run-flat tires which mess with the handling. The torque off the line and mileage are unbeatable..

Great to see the high mileage some of the other owners have on their GLKs. I have a 2013 GLK 350 with 75,000 kms. Had to replace the radio assembly under warranty as the paint was bubbling off the buttons. Otherwise so far so good.

350 GLK, C280
At 105000 miles my 2010 needed a new intake manifold for $2200. At 113000 it needed a new ESC system for $1500 and a set of tires for $800. I like the car enough that I traded it for a 2014 rather than putting in the $1500. I was expecting to get 150000 but it still gave great service for the first 105000 miles. I did get a very good trade in value for it even with the mileage. On the newer I have an extra year of warranty because it is CPO with unlimited mileage and then, another 2 years unlimited to cover it to 2021. That should do. At 16000 miles /year, that is another 64000 miles. Better than a new one with 4 years 50,000 standard.

I have been very satisfied with my 2014 GLK 250. I ordered it in July, 2013 and now have about 55K miles on it. The only serious problem was that the parking brake pedal assembly had a spring in the release mechanism fail. I complained to MB about it not releasing as it should while it was still under warranty and they replaced it when it fully failed. The only inconvenience I have experienced was having to find a better tire to replace the MOE tires and find a decent collapsible spare. Carrying the spare has used up some of my cargo capacity, but it beats the alternative.

Have a 2013 GLK350. Had it since the Fall of 2012. Have 50,000 miles on it. So far only the brakes had to be replaced. And I was surprised that it's a complete brake unit that gets replaced, not just pads. The parking brake doesn't release completely when its cold out. Just have to nudge it from behind to release completely. Other than that, have the original Dunlop tires, albeit I have swapped them out for winters over a three year period. Good vehicle.

For GLKs equipped with bi-xenon (615 code), the 2013 is the last year to include headlight washers (600 code). 2014-2015 do not have them. The daytime running lights on AMG appearance bumper (P31 code) are skinny on the 2013, thick on the other years. 2014-2015 they started offering diamond cut wheels (7X23 code) wheels. It looks like 2013 didn't have the option for 360 camera but this i do not know as fast.
Engine namely unchanged. They should have remedied the timing chain tensioner on the 2014 and 2015 V6 at the factory with the new parts. Most 2013 would have needed a technical service bulletin to fix the issue. There is also an ongoing airbag recall for 2013 GLKs due to the Takata fiasco.

Yes, despite the Diesel Particulate Filter issues, issues with DEF and AD BLUE sensor and even MB dealership putting NON RUN FLAT tyres on my GLK...a mistake that was definitely not MB grade professional (but mistakes happen) but now I have a cracked trim driver seat!!!
I joined the forum to for SAFETY reasons, to see if any other MB GLK drivers were seeing supplier quality issues with the vendor that makes GLK seats???
Also has anyone had recalls addressed on passenger air bag system??
Thank you!
