Did US version of 2014 GLK350 come with cargo net described in Owner's Manual?

Hi All,

Wife just bought a CPO 2014 GLK350, bringing the benz count back up to four.

We noticed a couple or three small things were missing, dealer will make right, though he balked on the cargo net, which is described on page 279 of the owner's guide as "located in the loading tray in the stowage well under the cargo compartment floor" (the stowage well, by the way, was one of the missing items).

Might someone who purchased new a US 2014 GLK confirm if there was a cargo net, one that connects to the 'comma' shaped recesses behind the B and C pillars?

I live-chatted with MB earlier and the rep will be checking as well, though I'd prefer to confirm one way or another with a third party.

Cheers,

Mark

I am leaning towards no. Just because the manual has information doesn't mean it is equiped on the car. The light section shows all the bulbs for both types of headlights. The start button is also n the manual and shows one for Canada and USA. Some cars don't have the start button. Or not all glks are equipped with spare tyres.

When I shopping for my GLK, none that i saw had the cargo net. Its not a really big deal, you can obtain one on amazon for cheap

No. Neither my glk250 nor my 350 came with the cargo net. It is considered an accessory to be purchased separately.

Mine is a 250 and I'm in Canada and I have it. Never used it though.

I have the net too and a divider thing! I notice that all Canadian MBs have complete accessories not like the US versions where they remove a few things and charge you a kidney to purchase.

Neither my '14 or '15 250 GLKs had the cargo net although there is a place to store one in the stowage well. However, since I purchased the '15 new my salesman did get a net for me from an older model lease return vehicle. When I tried to use it I discovered that there are no tie-down rings in the rear footwell as shown on page 278. There is an indentation on the side of the footwell but no ring. I guess you could install the rings if you could get the parts.

Another item that our lucky friends to the north got that we didn't is folding mirrors! What's up with that, Mercedes?

In my case the folding mirrors have to be programmed in the cluster menu. Sure you don't have that?

Nope. There is no fold switch between the mirror selector switches and my owners manual (p. 107) says the fold function is for Canadian vehicles only. If yours fold, I would be interested to know where you purchased your GLK.

Well, I am Canadian and bought it in Canada, so there's that...

They fold automatically when I lock my car, and unfold when, after being unlocked, the driver's door is open.

I noticed a lot more Canadian X204 have many more options equipped. I see most have the gorgeous bi-xenon headlights, front memory seats, parktronic, distronic plus, etc...
