What do you mean recommendation to replace? If you want to know what type of filter do you need, visit MANN webpage, type there what kind of vehicle do you own and type of engine and you will get the right type of all filters...changing is half an hour DIY job...

Service schedule used to be every 3 years, but now 4, I believe. Mine was changed on 3rd service but only after I showed then that the original service documentation called for it.

Link says: 40k miles OR 4 years, whichever comes first?

In Canada MB site still says 45k km or 3 years. But dealer systems now say to change it at 4yrs or 60k km. (37.2k miles)

45,000 km or every 3 years is correct. Super easy to DIY. Lots of good write up on forum. I didn't get the special clips. let me know if you need any help
