2015 GLK250 Gear will not shift
any body had this issue? The gears will not shift from park to drive or reverse; had to shut down the engine and try many times before it shifted to drive mode. happened second time. Took to the dealer and they are trying to figure out still..last time it happend they couldn’t duplicate. Hopefully they will find out something this time..

Sounds like a switch or connector problem. Here are you? How many miles? Short trips or long haul?
Looks like you bought the car new so you would know if it had been in a flood or had other interior water.

It’s a 2015 new lease, has this problem in first year briefly when the dealer couldn’t duplicate. It has only 21k miles now on it..the dealer called today and left msg they have to order something but was not able to catch up with them; will let know when have more update.. it’s a challlenge if you don’t have manual shif like the regular cars..

My 2014 250 did this once at about 15K miles. I turned it off and restarted and it was fine after that. I traded it a few months later so I don't know if it ever did it again.
My 2015 350 has not ever done this in over 30K miles.

Wondering is this a common issue with the stalk controller for the shifter?.My mechanic can fix almost any car mechanically but he mentioned due to complexity of the electronics some computer related issues he won't touch.

Not much on this board about big computer problems in the last 8 years. Do you live near a town called Roswell, or Three Mile Island? Or maybe Eastern Washington State near a place named Hanford?
