Glk heater blower Cricket sound
Hi all, our 2010 GLK is making a cricket sound when fan is low speed. I've seen this problem on many forums but not on GLK. I would like to try to lubricate it, if it does not work, I will change it.
My question : is the passenger heater blower accessible from the hood behind the battery or is it accessible from under the glovebox?
all input welcome.
Thanks !

100% same problem with my 2010 glk!
glad to see I’m not the only one.
does anybody know how to access it and what is the replacement part number? I’m a diy guy and won’t ever go to the stealership.

what else can I do once I am already there? I have spare cabin filters, I may as well do that, too right?

Oh and how about third party blowers? They are usually one third of the price.
I paid 12k cad for this car and want to keep the costs as little as possible and I don’t expect huge life from it. 2 years would be more than enough

I've removed mine before, it is identical to that video, although you may not have the footwell lights.
You can use any brand, it is not a critical part.

Thanks a lot JohnnyC!
One last question though, I've checked the website you recommended, 7zap.com.
Saw the diagrams but couldn't identify what I needed. How did you do that, is it by experience? I could never tell that I needed the part 90 by looking at the diagrams like the one below.

I'm in Canada and use this site frequently;
https://partsavatar.ca/product/feder...029/edkvdb6dgn
Do you think this would fit? The site says it fits but I have my doubts.
