WIP GLK 250

Performed some minor visual mods this weekend. Next, I hope to get the front and rear chrome black wrapped.

Nice. I see you also removed the door trim. Are u gonna black out the aluminium trim at the windows?

Thanks for the advice on how to remove the lower door side trim. I started off by warming the trim (37F here in CT) with a blow dryer and then used dental floss between the trim and body for about 3". I then gently wedged a trim remover tool to separate the trim from the body enough to carefully cut the trim tape with a blade to expedite the process. Once the trim was completely removed, I used a blow dryer again to warm up the remaining glue tape to roll it off with my fingers. I removed the residual glue with Meguire's Car Cleaner Wax. Took me about 45 minutes a side.

Yes, I may gloss black the window trim if I decide to tint the front windows. I am fearful that blacking out the window trim will be a slippery slope to replacing the mirror caps with OEM black ones.
