2013 GLK Seat Rip

Hello, so my 2013 GLK with 75K miles has developed a rip in the drivers seat right long one of the stitches. It was not due to puncture or external force. See pictures attached.

What options do I have? I am betting this rip is going to go side to side in no time at all and there will be internal stuffing coming out soon. So disappointing !! I bet new seat cost several thousand dollars so that is not happening. Ideas?

Thanks

Get it fixed at an upholstery shop or buy a new seat cover for 536$:

none
So anyone have suggestions on how to remove the seat heater connector when replacing the seat cover? I bought the seat cover but can't get the connector to release on the existing seat cover. I could splice wires but would rather see if anyone has suggestions on how to disconnect the wiring connector/harness first.

Thanks.
