Nanny Hacks like using the 360° for Dashcam etc.
My gf's had her 2015 GLK350 only a few weeks now and the car's great. But, like a lot of built-in automotive technologies, there's need for some tweaking!
- 360° Cameras that also function as a dashcam recording onto the built-in SD card or USB socket.
- DVD player that functions while the car is in drive (for the passenger, obv.)
I'm sure there are other features/hacks that could be made possible. What are some of the other requests?
Has anyone been able to successfully control or enhance some of the restricted technology features? No doubt some same changes to things to Cockpit Management and Data system (COMAND) would apply outside just the GLK model range, I'm going to look into the Audio & Electronics and other forums, but since she has a GLK thought I'd start with a post here.

A dashcam hack would be neat. Being able to update the nav/gps maps without getting fisted by the dealer would also be nice.
Just being able to type in a destination while the car is moving would be great.
I never understood why carmakers do not allow this since, as in my case, I'd simply ask whoever is riding shotgun to do that.

Yes, being able to enter destinations into the nav WOULD be great.
Specially since I my case it's most likely going to be done by a passenger. After all, the car knows when the passenger seat's occupied, doesn't it?
