GLK350 Oil Filter Housing Leak?

Have a GLK350 2014 with 66,000 miles. Noticed a few drops of oil on driveway and found the oil filter housing has a small leak. So I replaced the filter and o’ring inspected housing for cracks etc. didn’t find any so I tightened by hand then a 1/4 turn with wrench. At idle the leak seemed to be repaired but after driving it started leaking again. Anyone have any suggestions? I searched the forums before posting so excuse me if I missed something. Also I’m a new member and have learned so much already really appreciate everyone sharing their knowledge.
Thanks,
Keith

Is it leaking out where the cap screws on?
I can only guess you try a new plastic cap.

If it’s the threads , try Teflon plumbing tape until you get a new cap.

Are you tightening the cap enough?

Thats a good question I hand tightened it then a 1/4-1/2 turn with filter wrench. Feel like I’m tightening it enough but without a torque wrench I can’t be certain. Last couple times I changed the oil it’s been fine.
