replacing rear quarter window glass
A couple of jerks punched a hole in the left rear window while our daughter and a friend were up in San Francisco today. Don't think the police will do much although we do have the perpetrators' descriptions, car make/model and license plate number. I'm wondering if anyone has replaced this piece of glass? Is it DIY, or something I need to have done by an auto glass shop?

No, the police won't do anything.
I would advise against anyone just cruising around San Fran, much less in a nice car such as a Benz.
$295 isn't bad, I would make sure it's installed well and that there are no leaks afterward.
Good thing it wasn't worse... Stay safe.
