Sport to regular suspension conversion help needed
Just bought the car recently, 2010 220 170, generally loving it.
When picking a car, top priority was a comfortable ride and x204 had very solid feedback.
But the problem is I've managed to get a "Sport" variant with 486 - SPORTS SUSPENSION option, and here where's the problems started, because this thing is far from comfortable.
It's so bad that my wife still prefers to do shopping on her 2008 Nissan X-trail.
First thing I've decided to do is to switch neat 20"th with stock 17"th, but I'm afraid that it will not be enough, so I'm considering variant to replace (at least) front suspension.
And here's where I need help - what would I need? Shocks only? Coils (springs) only? Both?
Anyone done this sort of "conversion"? Any help will be much appreciated!

A 10-year old suspension setup is probably ready for a refresh. You'd be surprised by what new shocks all around will do. Between that and the smaller wheels (with more tyre sidewall for cushioning) I think you'll be pleased.

Smaller diameter tyre/wheel combination is great for winter driving due to change in the aspect ratio. The ride will be softer but the sporting aspects such as turn-in & feedback/steering response will be affected. The X204 does have a firm ride OEM. New shock absorbers/struts if on the originals could be the answer if the vehicle has many miles on it. I have not heard of a sport suspension option in the USA market.
