Shaking car at acceleration - wheel alignment?
I’m driving a 2011 GLK 350 4matic.
Bought it a year ago from its 1st owner with 87k miles, looked very pampered and well maintained and serviced.
1 year later, so last month, I brought it to a European specialist for service, the big interval. It needed to get more done than expected, coils and front control arms included.
Then 2 weeks after I also replaced the rear rotors and pads from fcpauto (thanks to this forum for the advice) with a different mechanic. The 1st mechanic felt like a scam to me (he did not mention the brakes to me).
Now all those 2 services combined, I face a new strange problem;
Every time I accelerate in between 40-55mph the car vibrates and shakes a lot. Scary.
If I accelerate slow, very little vibration. If I accelerate very fast, also little vibration. So only at medium acceleration I experience the strong shaking. When I slow down from 60 to zero, no shaking. So I am ruling out the tire rotation, as I did not change them anyways.
Does anyone else have a clue?
Do the wheels need realignment after the control arm replacement (front) or the rotors (rear)?
Do I need to replace the wheel bearings?
Thank you all in advance!!

If you're getting new tires soon, then wait to do the alignment after. If they're balanced perfectly and the suspension is aligned, the next thing is the driveline.
But hopefully it's not a driveline vibration. I'd double-check all the moving parts under there for looseness.
just came back from another mechanic. the wheel is loose (front left), it's the control arm (the one being replaced
)Will order another one, now next question:
Does the GLK not have front lower control arm bushings? Do I only need this?

I can't seem to find bushings for the front.
Thanks!
