Panoramic roof switch/button broke off- 2013 GLK

This is the piece that broke off

This is what it should attach too. Not sure which piece is the issue.

General Mercedes- Discussion Starter • #1 a moment agoHi, The switch/button for my sunroof snapped off (2013 GLK). Took it to the dealer and they said I would need to replace the whole console at a price of $1000 CDN ( parts and labour).
The roof still works, it’s just tricky to get the shade across.
I am trying to figure out if the bit that broke is on the button itself or is on the console side. I can order a replacement button but would like to determine which part is the issue.
Lastly, anyone found directions on how to install a new button ( if indeed the button is the issue)? Many thanks!! Joanna

Our sunroof activator switch got loose also. The dealership told us they'll need to replace the entire overhead assembly to fix. I've searched online for refurbished/used assemblies from car recycling centers, they go for about $100 and up.
