2011 GLK 350
Temperature warning
My 2011 GLK350 with 150K miles get me a temperature signal randomly. It does not matter if I am driving on the streets or in the highway, there is nothing that I can predict what is causing this issue. The weird part is that the temperature drops from 100º to 80º!!, why I am getting this warning? Any clue?

Sounds like the thermostat is not opening soon enough and the temperature reaches 100. The stat then opens and the temperature quickly drops to the proper 80.
Does it usually happen after the same amount of driving time?

at 100 it turns both the fans for the ac on
