My roof antenna is broken!

Hello everyone.

Does anyone know where can I find a roof Antenna for my 2015 GLK 220? I can’t find it anywhere….. .

I’m going to take it to the dealership for them to replace it, but they refuse to give me the part number so I can look for it online…..

I could buy the antenna directly from them, but where I live it is extremely overpriced.

I can’t get to know the part number without lowering my headliner, and I only trust the dealership to do so, cause I don’t want to be left with squeaks and rattles.

After doing a lot of research, I learned that there are 3 different types of antenna for the GLK, All I know about mine, is that unlike all those that I found for sale, it has only one cable,( I was able to sneak my phone between the roof and the headliner just far enough to record it. All the antennas I have found for sale have 2 or 3 cables.

However, I found an identical antenna to mine, it has only one cable, but it has been removed from a c180, I’m wondering if that would work.

If anyone can help me out on this, I would really appreciate it, thanks in advance.

This is my antenna seen from underneath the roof:

This is the antenna I found for sale, removed from a 2012 C180

Your VIN is visible through the windshield, is on your title and insurance card.

Try here and see part #50:

I believe there are 2 types: A20 490 551 04 or A20 482 069 75.

Both of those numbers appear to be outdated. With your ViN, you could look up the correct part. Using mine, I get A 204 905 52 04 9051. No guaranty...

Thanks everyone for your answers, I found the correct part number for my car on https://partsouq.com/ using my VIN number, turns out that antenna from the C180 is actually compatible

Now I just need to buy it, Does anyone know if only Mercedes can unplug the antenna?

I heard from someone that if it is not done by Mercedes, the multimedia screen will get blocked and register an error code ( they said it happened to their bmw when they replaced their antenna) and then I will have to take it to the dealership anyway to get that code erased.

As of right now, I’m going to take it to the dealership, because as I said, I only trust the dealership to lower my headliner since I dont want to be left with squeaks and rattles, but if I find some trustworthy repair shop, I might take it there, because unfortunately the nearest MB dealership is 400 km away from me.

4 years ago i backed into my garage a bit too quickly and hit the antenna as the garage door was still opening. Tore the antenna off the roof. I got some RTV adhesive and glued it down. Its been good ever since! No squeaks, rattles and goes through carwashes just fine!

Exactly the same thing happened to me, except that I was getting into my garage and closed my garage door to early, My antenna hit the garage door as it was still closing.

The problem is that my Antenna is broken…. It is a little loose, but the top is broken…. It still works at least…. I “sculpted” the missing part with epoxi clay, it protects the internals of the antenna and it looks ok from a distance, but looking closely it is really ugly, so I need a new antenna regardless….. Since it became a little loose I glued it in place with silicone for no water to get in.
