Well managed to get the PCV and plugs replaced last night. Wasn't as simple and straightforward as the FCP Euro video showed... Mainly as I was not prepared to remove the E-star bolts. Luckily I did have an E-star socket (albeit 3/8 drive) which ultimately saved the night for sure! Replaced the factory E-star bolts with the Torx bolts included with the kit. So far no leaks detected. Still some oil smell but that's expected given the amount of oil I had been leaking down the engine and on the exhaust. Again, thanks to the OP and conversations on this thread.

Update: after several in town trips over the past few days I can say with certainty the leak is gone!
