Question ESP control unit: still problems after replacement

Hi everybody!

I got the ESP control unit replace with a "refurbished" one at a local shop that is specialized on Benz.
Partnumber (A204 545 4132) as well as all the other number on the box match exactly (see picture)
The re-programmed the VIN and the unit works fine (tested ABS and ASC on snow).
The two things that are not working are:
- My cruise control is off by about 5 mph (say I drive 60, the cruise control shows 55)
It seems to of by a percentage rather than by a fixed value.
I have a suspicion, that the donor car may have smaller wheel size than mine???
The speedometer works correct on shows correct speed (checked with Waze)
- The other issue is, that I can't switch off the ESP anymore.

Any clue highly welcome! Could not find anything so far.
Shop said they could re-program the entire unit, not just swap the VIN, but are hesitant since they have not done this before, an it may "brake the unit".
I just ordered another module online, so that I have a fall-back when they do the re-programming...

I have a 2011 GLK 350 4Matic

Hi Plutoe,
can you explain a bit more? What flash in which module?
I had the ESP control unit swapped with another one on Monday.
Same symptoms.
The shop uses AUTEL diagnostics device.
Mechanic said he may crash the gateway control unit when trying to "re-program" the entire system.
Should rather have that done at a dealership. Their systems are way more versatile.
I think I will live with it for now.
Still if you have further hints and clues...most welcomed!
Thanks!
