I just got back from a long trip and ended up using my iPhone 13 instead of the GPS since it’s so outdated !
I have never been able to upgrade my Belkin map pilot (MP) ever since I bought the car in 2015. Either the computer doesn’t even recognize the MP when it’s plugged in or when you open contact manager it doesn’t show the MP connected even though the computer sees it. MB Tells me I have to contact Belkin and they won’t help me whatsoever. Belkin suggested below 👇👇
I can literally go through all the different files on the MP with a computer but the contact manager refuses to recognize it so I cannot Update it🙄
we just got a new Windows 11 laptop and a new MacBook Air so I figured I’d give it one more try both with the exact same results….and yes I tried different cables, deleted and reloaded different content managers from different Belkin websites, yes I’ve tried different USB ports and I’ve even given the MP to my friend and asked him to try it at home…no luck!
Honestly disappointed with MB. My wife took her Volvo in for dealer maintenance and had a similar issue and they were able to upgrade the navi on her XC 90 with zero problems.

Yes that’s the first place I went to and when you click on the little tab at the bottom it opens up tells you about the software/product but there is no download button and it tells you to connect your Becker Map pilot (MP) before you can download; keep in mind I can go to windows explorer and I can see the MP and can actually open it up and look in the individual files.
You didn’t post the problem here you posted a link. Get a new one they are cheap
oh you’re supposed to click on the link and then the problem is listed there. Yeah that may be an option I mean it still works it’s just not updated I just don’t know if I wanna spend 3-400 bucks on it since I rarely use it and I’m gonna probably sell this car in the next two years.
Just an opinion, but we had the adapter in the GLK and the C250, but found that since Google Maps and MAPS on the iPhone is always up to date, onboard nav was not worth the effort. I’m sure that would be different if we had a self driving vehicle.

yeah I had thought about that the only thing is it only plays the audio portion of the Google Maps unlike Apple play which the screen on those cars Actually gives you the visual representation of the map or music or whatever happens to be playing on the iPhone that’s connected remember these GLK’s were designed before Apple play came to being in 2018. The main thing I want is the map to be visible on the car so I don’t have to keep looking down with the phone which is a safety hazard issue.

So get a windshield mount for the phone!
I was able to update mine a year ago with no issues other than it took forever. I think all told it took about 24 hours of downloading from Becker and uploading to the map pilot. There's about 5GB of updates
I just put my iPhone sideways on the shelf in front of the vehicle display (the place that MB says not to put anything). I have an Apple soft case on the phone and it stays put, no sliding on turns.
Proclip mount. I mounted it to the right of the hazard light button. With a universal mount with wireless charging in it mounted to the proclip. Works great!
