GLK EMISSIONS PROBLEMS
I am having problems with the ADBlue countdown from 10. I took it to the dealer and they diagnosed it as the DEF line heater. they said it needs both section of line to be replaced the thing is is that the engine light has been on for the DEF LINE HEATER for months now and never had an issue. even all winter. The line set is almost $1000 from the dealer and I can do it myself. but thats not the point.
I have also ordered Xentry from china. C5. I'm hoping I can start to do these Adblue resets myself. is there any direction to help me through this process...
this car is going to be the death of me.
The dealer did the field measure upgrade New CAT, DPF, NOX absorber, NOX sensors, DPF pressure line, The reductant line was not covered under the field measure warranty. $2200 for them to install new line. I immediately left and said I'm going to do so myself. I have a DEF line heater fault and they said I needed both sections of the hose to ensure the code will clear.
I ended up going on the Kitchener waterloo Mercedes website and they have "decent" prices on OEM parts. I ordered both lines for around $800 CAD. I also went on ROCK AUTO and ordered a bunch of suspension parts that were bad. (brakes, cross struts, torque strut...ect)
My codes via BLUE DRIVER
-P20B9 (line heater fault)
-P13DF (generic emission fault code??)
I dropped the DEF tank and replaced all lines from the DEF tank to the DEF injector. I did a good inspection of the wiring harness and found no issues.
I cleared the codes VIA blue-driver and found that the CEL was out but the remaining starts still appeared. A rescan of the fault codes revealed that the P20B9 code was still in the permanent status. I think I will need Xentry to clear this and run an adaptation for the SCR system. This system should be here shortly. as I ordered the C5 connect from China.
I will update more when I get Xentry.
What are the two sections of the hose you are talking about? Isn't there just one line from the pump to the injector?
What is Xentry and C5 connect?
