What details do you need?
Many GLKs at least post face lift have a WDC in the VIN. Example WDCGG5HB2EG276430
The W is Germany, the D is Mercedes-Benz, and the C is Chrysler Division.
Do you need me to spell out anything else?

I think you're reading more into that than is warranted.
Note particularly where it says "the letter “W” here indicates an origin in Germany".
The 11th character is the assembly plant. I recall "G" is Bremen.
Although Mercedes-Benz has plants in 22 countries, the letter “W” here indicates an origin in Germany. The brand still manufactures many vehicles at its original home in Stuttgart.The “D” in position 2 stands for “Daimler,” the company that owns Mercedes-Benz.
A final code of “B” indicates that the vehicle belongs to the brand’s central division "Daimler-Benz". For a brief period after 1999, vehicles with the same origin were designed with a “C” for “Daimler-Chrysler”. After that merger dissolved, a final code of “D” became more common. A final code of “F” indicates that the brand’s commercial division was responsible for the vehicle.

Still confused as to the exact question.
The GLK is a MB vehicle, designed and produced by MB in Germany. There is no "Chrysler" in any of its DNA (in automotive speak).

Obvious confusion here ... Chrysler never owned MB.
The company was renamed DaimlerChrysler upon **acquiring** the American automobile manufacturer Chrysler Corporation in 1998, and was again renamed Daimler AG upon **divestment** of Chrysler in 2007

I know of the Chrysler Aquisition and dissolvement, but why is this Mercedes-Benz made in Germany made by the Chrysler division of Daimler AG post 2007?

Well obviously these letters can’t always be trusted Buddy. My 2013 GLKs vin starts out WCDGG8…. So according to the 4th digit it’s a W140 S Class and 5th digit says it a long wheelbase sedan. So explain that one..

VIN useage has evolved over time to account for mergers, partnerships, and joint ventures. The first 3 places in the VIN are the World Manufacturer Index. For vehicles of GLK vintage:
Position 1 is the country of origin or the final assembly point
Position 2 is the manufacturer and region where vehicle was produced
Position 3 must be combined with 1 & 2 to indicate the vehicle type or manufacturing division. So it could indicate vehicle type.
The Wikipedia data base still assigns WDC to Daimler Chrysler, but it’s out of date. According to that data base WMIs like W1N don’t exist, but they do and I’m driving one.

Yea, I think our 2014 GLK350 base is also a "wdcgg..." VIN desig , but not stressing over it, and don't have enough curiosity to decipher it. However, I have recently been to 2-3 official MB websites deciphering the VIN, and no biggie.
