Transmission is I n park, but it it says it’s not like the door is open ?
Went out yesterday for lunch and a carwash , returned to work and parked car like normal . When I got in it several hours later to go home the engine started up just fine , but I went to put in gear and nothing . The dash indicator shows it’s parked . Buy it’s giving the roll away message that it does when you open the door while engaged in any gear other than park .
i have pulled the sam, checked all fuses . Made sure the car was getting signal from the column gear selector . Still nothing .
how do I tell it it’s not out of park ?

There was definitely water under the hood that poured over the cowl due to clogged drains . But I have used a heat gun, set in sun for a day , still nothing . In the past that has worked , this time it isn’t . If I could just get a pin out of the SAM plugs to locate what wire is sending the signal I think I could get it going .
but it’s hard enough finding fuse and relay info , let alone a pin out of the plugs underneath .
