Airbag recall- then Front Right SRS malfunction

I needed to take my 2010 GLK350 in for the airbag recall. After I got it back this error message began popping up "Front Right SRS Malfunction Service Required". At first it only popped up when I had a passenger- a passenger that weighed less than me, like around 110 lbs. Then it showed up more frequently. I brought it back to the mercedes Penske service center who claimed it was an old wire in the seat that had too much resistance, which they said they fixed. When I picked it up I got the same warning message! So I left the car and went home. Next day they again said they had fixed it- for real this time. I picked it up, drove it for 15 minutes and the warning message came up again- booooo! I always thought it was a bad sensor, but they never replaced any sensor. I don't know what to do because the message makes me think the airbag will not work when needed- and the service center has not reassured me. I don't want to go back to the same place- What do I do??? Anyone else had this problem? Thanks!

Try a different MB dealer?

But this dealer did the original airbag recall replacement and charged me $300 to fix this error message. Maybe this is unrepairable? Also the other service center is even further away. FYI- MB does not do the service anymore; Penske, a 3rd party does it.

I don't think they should've charged you anything to fix the issue, since it started occurring RIGHT AFTER they did the airbag recall.

It might be time to contact MB corporate by phone and inform them of the issue.
