GLK vibration issues

Hey guys and/or ladies,

I have been driving my GLK ever since I got my license. That was about four years ago. Over the past year my vehicle has been shuddering and vibrating under certain conditions.

The Conditions:
Engine is at optimal temperature
RPM is at 2k, anything else will not cause vibration or shudder

It doesn’t matter the mph or temp outside. So far I spent a little less than 1 grand trying to find the solution. All maintenance is taken care for except the transmission fluid. One big fix was swapping out the transmission mount for a new one and it did not help.

if you have heard anything or know a solution please leave something on this thread.

How many miles are on it? Does it do it at 2K in all gears? Accelerating and decelerating? In neutral?

Did you do motor mounts, or just the transmission mount? If just the tranny mount is a "big fix", the motor mounts are a "monumental fix" (RWD) or "epic, insurmountable fix" (4Matic). ;-)

Does it clunk when shifting from P to D or Reverse ? Or from coasting to putting on the gas? That would be a CV or U joint . You don’t want them to break when driving . What is location of noise? Record it. And for under 100 you can get remote microphone set up to find the noise. What happened when the mechanic put it on a lift and ran it at 2000?
