I'm in need of assistance! My GLK won't start, and it also doesn't crank.
Recently, I replaced its monitor with a third-party Android Auto screen that I purchased from AliExpress. (I'll be sharing my journey of changing the screen soon!) Initially, everything seemed fine for a couple of days. My only concern was that the new monitor didn't integrate well with the original UI. Additionally, I had to remove the license plate light to install the backup camera. (I don't think this is a major concern for now, as I'm not currently residing in the States.)
Furthermore, the battery voltage is 10.8V at rest. I've done some research on YouTube, and I don't think it's a locked ESL issue. If it were, there would be no indication of cranking at all. At least, mine cranks for a sec. Is it simply a low battery? I don't think 10.8V at rest is relatively low enough to prevent the engine from starting.
What are your thoughts on this situation? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

With the battery voltage at 10.8V resting you will not be able to start. It will drop below that value when cranking. I suggest charging the battery or using a battery booster to start.
After the battery is charged, it should be load tested to see if it needs to be replaced.
Scanning for diagnostic codes would find out if there are reasons the battery is at such a low state of charge if the battery passes the load test.
Use a charger that has AGM setting. If you need a battery get an AGM . After battery issues are fixed check for parasitic draw. Your new screen May by an issue .most all auto stores will do a load test for free while you wait. And run codes !
