Variable Valve Timing Solenoid O_Rings
My Indy recommended I Replace my Variable Valve Timing Solenoid O Rings on my 2010 GLK 350 w 98,K miles along with a PVC Breather Cap. @ $1,290.00?
What are the risks of delaying this?
THX Folks

I think you might need a 2nd opinion. What issues are you having or trying to resolve? Are there any DTCs stored or code(s) that are causing a check engine light?
A new PCV valve wouldn't hurt after 14+ years, but that's something relatively cheap to purchase and simple to replace, and I haven't heard of VVT system O-rings needing to be replaced on any MB gasser engine, but then again I drive diesels

Thank-you. I have a A2 due, might take it to the dealer. I am not receiving and codes or check engine light. I added some Liquid Moly Engine oil saver to rejuvenate the rubber rings. Car only being driven 7k annual over its lifetime.
PS
My first new car was a MB 220D I purchased in Germany. After twins were born along with an older sibling I had to let it go for a Dodge van. When I bought the car all my friends were buying Porche 914's I loved my 220D. Diesel was $0.18 a gallon! Again thanks for your advice.
I just ordered a PCV kit from FCP Euro

LiquiMoly makes some good products, including oils. However, no decent oil needs a "rejuvenator" and it's perfectly fine to keep annual miles low. For reference, since COVID I've been working from home and only put about 4-5K miles at most on my diesel. I don't add anything to the oil but I do change it out once a year, with the appropriate spec stuff.
For yours, you should use an oil that meets MB 229.5 spec. The weight/grade of the oil is irrelevant as long as it is approved for that spec (check the back of oil bottles, most Euro oils will say which specs they meet).
Lastly, unless you have deep pockets, I would only visit the dealer for service if it was a free service such as a recall or covered by some warranty. For regular maintenance, repairs and general upkeep, I would find a good Indy or tackle the simpler things yourself; there are lots of how-to videos on YouTube and useful threads here as well.
All the best.

I think the main risk is that the owner of the shop will no afford to go away on holidays.
