2014 Mercedes GLK250 used for parts

Hello guys I haven't posted in the for a while. Well, I got rear-ended on New Year and I have the car. My trunk lid doesn't close anymore and I still have the car. I'm considering buying a wrecked 14 GLK250 or even a 14 GLK350 4Matic with front-end damage and using my GLK250 for parts. I'm not to concerned about the parts fitting in a GLK250 but I am for a GLK350 since the engine is different. I want to buy a wrecked car from auction with obvious front-end damage like a messed up bumper, radiator, headlights, or even a damaged hood. But with a good engine, frame, and intact drivetrain (I might consider one with the airbags deployed but I would rather get one without the airbags deployed). But if I get a GLK350 would the radiator, condenser, and radiator fan would be the same as the GLK250? I know other stuff like the plastic bumper and metal bumper are the same, along with headlights and grills.

Unless you have specific plans for the other "different" drivetrain, I'd say it makes more sense to just wait and find a parts car that matches yours as closely as possible. That way, if you find you need (for example) a fuel pump or exhaust parts, you got 'em. I do like the concept of making one great car out of two crashed cars, but make really, really sure that your current GLK is actually repairable with your approach. If the damage extends into the structural parts beyond the tailgate, "you're in for an adventure"...

My GLK that got rear-ended was just mainly cosmetic and my trunk doesn't open but my frame is intact. I might buy another 2014 GLK250 in good condition and just transfer my delete kit from my GLK since I deleted mine last year. I might consider buying one in good mechanic condition (clean title) but with cosmetic front-end damage from FBM or something. Since it has front-end cosmetic damage it will be cheaper and I can just use my current GLK for parts (Like bumper, headlights, grills, etc), along with transferring my emission delete kit (Just get a tune since the tuner I have is married to the VIN so I can't reuse my delete tune). I really love how torquey, reliable and the fuel economy of the OM651 is and I wouldn't want to change to another platform. Plus the GLK is a great little SUV great for towing my JetSki, go on road trips and still getting great MPG.

EDIT: My GLK is super high milage (195K) KBB and CarFax estimates my car to be worth $3,160 I already took the car to a body shop and they quoted me $3,3xx just for the tailgate excluding the bumper and taillight. So buying a lower milage GLK would be better
