It's an 1157 bulb (small, two-pin bulb). I replaced mine with some high-output LED "bulbs", which (IMHO) improve the operation by making the car more visible when parked, and providing MUCH better lighting for walking away from the car after exiting at night. Some LEDs will throw an error though.

The bulbs are a little fiddly to get to and replace - basically, you reach in under the high beam bulb / socket, grab the two wires running to the marker light socket, and push down on the little tab below the marker light socket while pulling on the wires, and it should pop out easily(ish).

Soft copy on my laptop, hard copy in the glove box, for emergencies!

Thanks! Do you remember the brand you purchased that didn't cause an error message to pop up? I used AUXITO in my C32 and CLK55 for those small bulbs but I want to have to only do this once as it's a chore swapping all these bulbs.

I honestly don't recall - I do remember looking for a bulb (oxymoron) that claimed to not throw an error. I converted both my 2011 and the 2012 "project car" to LED bulbs and they both worked (and continue to work...) great.

I bought H15 LED replacements from Lasfit. High beam plus parking light. I don't get any errors (I did with a different brand, on the parking lamps). I don't drive much at night, but I can say for sure when you flash the high beams at someone it burns the paint off their car.

Thanks for all the assistance. I finally found a video on YouTube talking about the exact bulb that I want to change. I believe my wife's GLK350 is different than the upgraded model and her truck does not have Xenon bulbs but rather 2 different high and low beam halogen bulbs and this small bulb. Here's a video of the bulb I was referring to for anyone else ever looking.

Oh, that bulb. I changed mine last week. I got lucky and did it by feel. It was so easy I thought I had broken something.

Mine (2014) is not like that. My parking lamp is part of the high beam lamp (H15.) The little bulb is only the turn signal. It's on the end of a long stick.
