2011 GLK Glasroof stuck on one side - won't open!
When I try to open the glass roof then on the left the rear portion lifts and tries to move backwards. But on the right the rear part lifts only a bit (half as high as the left side) and the roof seems stuck - can move anywhere, especially not backwards.
The roof might have been closed for years.
I applied LOTS of pressure (with my fingers while I operated the switch) to get it lift more and get it moving backwards - to no avail.
Is this a known problem? The car was all its life in California (now in the EU). Might have been closed for many years.
The roof will close by itself.

The sliding panel, to my knowledge, has various sensors - have you used a code scanner to check for faults? There's also delicate wiring in there that is easily compromised.
(it's not understood what the photo offers)
if your lucky it’s debris , if not lucky it it just stays closed ! I think a broken part could be too expensive to repair. Or maybe a code was thrown .
