$400 Autel Scan tool can't do Brake Bleed function?
I was very surprised to see my vehicle was not supported. I got the following message: "This model series 204.988 is not supported"
I do not understand how this is possible with a high level scan tool like this.
Edit: the whole reason i purchased this scantool was to use that brakebleed fucntion to flush out the old brake fluid in the ABS module, which is something that cannot be done without a scantool

The FIRST article link I got is a lengthy detailed thread, started by, @Mmr1 in Dec 2024, about brake bleeding. In that thread, there is also a link to another thread showing the brake bleed process (with photos), created by another MBWorld member. Great info in both those threads, which I'll use when it's time.

but what you said about the ABS holding only a few ml of brake fluid makes sense now, i didn't know it was that small of an amount i assumed it was alot more, i opened the brake bleed function on my 2018 BMW M2 and the description said its only for when the ABS is replaced or repaired to remove air bubbles, implying its not for the routine bleed fluid change
When I hooked it up to my BMW M2 it had every service option available including Brake Bleed, so maybe the GLK just doesn't truely support/need Brake Bleed, the only way to be 100% sure is to maybe get MB Star/Xentry but Im not gonna do that for now (BTW have seen others buy Xentry copies from aliexpress for very cheap)

I agree that the old fluid left in the ABS wet side is minuscule, but it would be nice to be able to get it as well. Since most of us don't exercise our ABS systems much in the real world (living in the SW US, driving in snow is uncommon...) the old fluid could stay in there quite a while.
There was a thread on this subject some time ago (six months?) where it was suggested that a power-bleed (using positive pressure at the reservoir end) would do a better job of fully flushing the system, but I never saw any definitive info that would lead me to believe that it really flushes the ABS (the valving would have no reason to be open during the process).
I've seen processes for other "lesser vehicles" that allow system bleeding powered by the ABS pump - very cool, but apparently not something we can do with our MB vehicles. Sigh...

Here's a link to Reply #44 in that thread, whereby
@TimC300 explains their bleed process. The replies after #44 include snippets from a manual.

Okay, so there's a link in that thread to TimC300's dedicated post showing the bleed process, including photos, here:
