GLK 2010 Audio upgrade
I'm the proud owner of this 2010 GLK 220CDI. I've been upgrading/building cars for years now. This GLK is my daily driver and I love it!
My question is... I've been reading for some hours almost everywhere for this but can't seem to find the right choice. I want to upgrade the audio of this GLK. I'm having the system with the small screen and the AUX jack-port.
At the moment I'm using a bluetooth/FM-transmitter adapter to stream Spotify, it works but the audio quality is poor. The volume is very low and a lot of tones ranges are missing.
I also tried a bluetooth adapter directly into the aux-port, put I then only seemed to get the right side of the speakers working so I think maybe the aux-port is faulty.
Do you have any experience in upgrading the early GLK audio systems? I've seen the Chinese Android systems on Aliexpress but it seems these systems use the aux-port to connect the audio to the speakers, so in my case, that will deliver the same problem that I have, and besides that I think it will still deliver poort sound quality?
Any ideas/experiences with solutions/systems that do really give an upgrade in streaming quality sound?

The better option is probably a Bluetooth adapter that plugs into the MMI. Those are a little more expensive though.
