Today I decided to replace my 6 month old squeaky Dayco belt with a new Continental belt. In the process I find I have some oil seepage by the oil cooler and housing. I pretty sure it’s the oil cooler seal but want to run it across the MBWorld brain trust. What do you think? Change the seal between then cooler and housing or replace the cooler and or housing? My preference would be replacement of gaskets. At least the squeak is gone!

Me? I would only replace gaskets.
Of course, if you remove any engine component and suspect IT IS at fault, check the flatness of its mating surfaces.
Obviously, the component surfaces and the engine-side surfaces. Might check flatness anyway, while they are off.
Based on the photograph, does't look like a "major" leak of any sort. (just typical, "got some miles on it")
That’s the direction I’ll probably go. It’ll be a good point to replace the coolant and upper/lower hoses as she has 80k miles. Good idea on tossing a steel edge on it to check for flatness. Now to find some ambition.
My started sweating again, when I changed both gaskets I used Febi gaskets I believe, cleaned well and proper torque procedure. But was not happy with the surfaces, not the gasket material but pitting on the oil cooler, so I knew there was a risk of future leaks. This time I’m replacing cooler and housing.
